I'd love to read your thoughts on Baise-Moi (film and novel) and Viginie Despentes.

Oh what a great idea. I wonder if she is doing anything new, and then I could return to thinking about her entire career. I bet you can guess I am always very interested in anything she does!

I only recently saw her documentary Mutantes: Punk Porn Feminism from 2009. As far as I know, nothing since Pretty Things has been translated into English.

Loved this behind the scenes look at the making of Bound and how much of a role you played, especially bringing in real queer people from your community.

Loved the interview. I saw Bound at the theater during its first run in San Francisco and it blew my mind. I've had a thing for Jennifer Tilly ever since! I bought it on VHS and used to use the first half for a workout video on my stationary bicycle because it wound me up so tight ... the elevator scene wrecks me. And yes the hands on the dripping pipes .. also when Violet brings Corky coffee and keeps moving towards her, forcing the scene tighter and tighter .. so good. The film checks fetish boxes found in the San Francisco scene of the 80s and early 90s that I remember and loved so much. All praise be to the high femmes!! Many thanks for all of your hard work ;-)
