On this week’s show:
Making Bound with the Wachowski’s was a lifetime dream. I’ve written about much of it. Bound is being released this June, in a new edition by Criterion Collection, with new behind-the-scenes features I will relish unboxing.
There’s one piece of the background, that no one’s talked about before. There was a tragic event in real life, the night we flew Gina Gershon from LA to marinate in San Francisco dyke and sex worker night life.
And, in all gravitas, I think it made a difference to the film. . .
Hello there, and welcome to “Back to Bed with Susie Bright”.
This is the week of March 22, 2024
Also on today’s show:
There was a reason Barbie and director Greta Gerwig were boxed out of the Oscars, and no, it wasn’t naked misogyny.
Sure, that’s always part of the Hollywood meow mix.
But, there was something else not visible to the ticket-buying public.
