Anyway, years ago, a popular slogan among those fighting for the rights of lesbians was "We are your worst fear, and your best fantasy!" I think that those words could easily apply to sexually-bankrupt and/or extremely gullible adults who picture their children, or someone else's, having wild, uninhibited sex. As you pointed out, the reality is quite different.
Media companies really do know their audiences, don't they? As for the NY Times promoting this kind of tabloid-newspaper nonsense, shame on them.
