Steve, that day’s events have reverberated for years. And of course, we drove with you down to Big Sur that time you visited “out west” and I bet you recognize the unique light in these photos. Years later, I was a pallbearer in Forest Lawn proper funeral, and I was one of six who carried the casket. That was heavy too. (Both ways). But this was something else. Everytime we paused on the hill to take a rest from the weight, there was another “moment” I’ll never forget. Quite the biblical parable.
