I got my Twitter remarks spammed en masse last night by MAGA grifters, the SAME comment. Do you think it’s because I said “Rick Scott”? Ha! I got flagged. I’m never surprised on twitter. it’s just sad that my little garden on Stack, finally got targeted. “Jane” is literally the first “person” who’s ever landed on my blog here who didn’t have an organic genuine interest.
I have not heard back from Substack yet. We’ll see.
We have always had a lunatic political fringe. But this is the first time in many many decades that the fringe was moved into the mainstream.
We need to come to terms with the fact that the babbling, incoherent Chief Fascist is loved and adored by his supporters no matter how much he babbles about "Biden's eight circles" (WTF?) They WANT dictatorship. They want their opponents in jail. They want immigrants deported.
Whether Trump wins or loses, but especially if he wins, we better start thinking about how to DEFEND ourselves against the MAGA cretins not how to persuade them. But how to beat them and how to be ready for the violence they'll bring by either celebrating a win by Trump or going back to the rigged scenario. Either way, there will be blood. That is guaranteed. Just be ready for it and do not pretend to be surprised.

Richard, I am holding you personally responsible! ;-) Yeah, i agree with you, wholeheartedly. I got a lot of support from today from Andrea Chalupa and the support meetings she’s been holding on her Patreon. They were EXCELLENT allies.

I haven't done the work you have done, but I've been in public health, specifically immunizations, for 15 years. I understand how the dis- and misinformation foments online and taints so much good work. It makes it harder to do that good work and to get truth across, though we always continue to speak the truth.
All power to you. To us all, so that we can continue to speak and work within our truth and real values.
I blame Rick Scott! (He was the ceo of Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas when we were organizing in the ‘90s. A total pigfucker. We got him charged with Medicaid fraud but he beat the rap).
You know, about 10 years ago I was thinking, with some amusement, of all the things I did over the years that were ‘in case I had to go underground’ or otherwise dodge the authorities. And how it was all for nothing really. Now here it comes again. Do we need to identify safe houses, hide a stash of cash, stop using last names, work out drops and contact procedures with friends and family? The Cheeto says he’s going after ‘The radical left’ with the nat’l guard and the military. That’s us.
Well, I’m getting a trickle of the brunt, way down the list. But it does have all those creepy reminders . . . Of when we were in their sights, bigtime.
I missed this post, which came while I was working on the Harris campaign, until now. The bravado I felt pre-election -- I once posted "Come at me, big boy!" -- has been replaced by wariness. Should I, as some are saying, erase all my posts? Resort to a burner phone? Or is that just paranoia, especially since I have a ton of privilege and also am nobody. Then I decide that all this is needless fretting until something actually happens. Then I think ... etc.
