In the 1974, a beautiful dress was designed by an American immigrant, feminist artist named Diane von Furstenberg. The “wrap dress” was made of a knit material, silk jersey, which was at that time, a technological marvel on the retail sewing scene.

Yes, it was just a dress, but it was considered a symbol of women’s liberation. It was a robe for the woman simply wanted to put ONE THING, move and stretch any way she pleased, and go. At the time, bralessness was encouraged. ;-)
