I’m voting this weekend with my brethren in the San Francisco/Bay Area Film Critics Circle— (SFBACC).

I’m delighted to be in a circle that can’t be bought.
There’s few of us around— film critics with thousands of reviews under our belts. We are the relics, but we know our stuff!

My mileage, and my patience, didn’t get past the First Act.
These films shoulda/coulda been great, festooned with performance talent. But they aren’t. All that’s left is the hype. And you may very well see them among the Oscar nominees.
Conclave

However the voting goes, A Complete Unknown is best picture in my opinion. Best movie I’ve seen in *years*.
When you originally posted this I had not seen any of these movies. I went to see A Complete Unknown the first day it hit the theaters and loved it. I heard about the movie last summer from a guitar instructor who provided banjo backing for the movie.
Since then I’ve watched Anora (which I probably would not seen if you hadn’t recommended it) and Civil War, both of which I enjoyed. Especially Anora. And despite your warning, I also watched Wicked because I loved the book series and was hoping it wasn’t as bad as I expected. And will try to watch Conclave this weekend because of the ties to recent events.
