Don't Sass Me Strawberry Shortcake

The berry season is upon us. We must indulge!

I have at least a 100 berry-faced witnesses to back me up: my shortcake recipe is the best you've ever tasted.

You can go from thinking of it to eating it, in a half-hour flat.

Ingredients:

6 c. sliced strawberries (3-4 little baskets)
1/4 c. sugar

2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder

1 stick cold butter cut into chunks

1 beaten egg
2/3 c. milk

Whipped cream

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
