Cioppino, like so many great dishes, is a version of ”Nail Soup.” It’s peasant soup, it’s leftovers soup, it’s don’t-waste-a-scrap bullion.

The fact that Cioppino one of the world’s greatest dishes just goes to show that when you have very little, you cherish what you have.

The juice of one blood orange, going into the Cioppino in the end!
