I’m not terribly worried about AI. At least in my lifetime it’s likely to be a colossal bust. I do keep in mind that Ray Kurzweil said by 2030 (was that the year?) we’d be able to download the contents of our brain into a machine and I want to be sure it’s the best damned machine available and not a Model T.
Happy birthday week, cancer slayer. Wish I'd picked up that labyris I saw in Canada a few weeks ago to give you as a gift - or to keep for myself, I don't think I ever had one. This link to best ice cream anywhere (at least in my extensive experience) is my gift to you. But go try it, and see for yourself! https://murphysicecream.ie/pages/our-flavours
Shortly after I wrote this, I read the AP headlines and see a celebrity wife is suing her ex-husband for posting “deep-fake” naked porn photos of her. No, I don’t know them, but this is a sordid vengeful tale we are accustomed to hearing.
Does this refute my claim that AI has been a failure in porn? No, and I’ll tell you why.
Revenge-porn cruelties are not a consumer industry, they are not done for money. There’s no business model here. They are done to humiliate and dominate the victim, to hurt them, period, even though “everyone” knows, from the get-go, the photos are fake. It’s not their veracity at issue, it’s the screaming hyena of misogyny getting their licks in.
It’s the same kind of thing with the cringing racist memes we see posted by Trump and his cabinet members, that are beneath contempt. They’re not even “trying” to use AI to achieve verisimilitude. The same bathroom wall scrawl as there ever was . . .

Interesting, simple flavors. Nothing crazy nor busy. They used to have buttermilk flavor, and that was my fave. Hope you can go, and try them all!
King Slayer, Cancer Slayer…just a slayer in the main!

I’m so down with going to Ireland to try all the flavors!

To paraphrase Bob Nash, I like how you say verisimilitude.
When will we learn of an AI deep fake of some husband with a micro penis and cellulite?
We know just the Fanta Fascist who would be the perfect poster boy for this, eh?
I’m ready for it.
I’m not just whistling Dixie when I tell you “Hollywood” is as gone, as vaporous, as Silent Films. https://www.wsj.com/business/media/see-how-hollywoods-job-market-is-collapsing-230be437?mod=hp_lead_pos7
Again, watch what happens to porn industry and so goes the winds of industry-culture change
